A little joy on the slopes

When the snow crunches underfoot, skiers’ hearts beats faster. In winter, the Klausberg shows off its best side right next to our hotel, with perfectly groomed slopes. The cable car takes you up to a height of 2510 metres, and the ride down: pure joy. The many different huts and the Fun Park contribute significantly to carefree fun all-round while skiing. A visit to Speikboden, eight kilometres away, with its 35 kilometres of slopes, rounds off the skiing and snowboarding experience in the Ahr valley. Two ski areas, one ski pass: this is just one advantage you get with Skiworld Ahrntal, which is connected by a free shuttle bus. And then there is the “Klausberg-Flitzer” Alpine coaster, the Dino Fun Line and a loving care service for the enthusiastic skiing youngsters.

Those who prefer to be away from the slopes have a wide range of options. Snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, tobogganing, ski tours, ice climbing, ice rafting, ice skating: the main thing is it’s outside. Then it becomes even more attractive to stop off at the many rustic huts afterwards to have a delicious apple strudel with a cup of cappuccino. And if it’s a bit later on, there are still the many après-ski bars.
